Each calendar month's pillar: theme and ease for the month you're in.
Monthly luck, traditionally called Wolun, reads each calendar month's pillar against your fixed birth chart. We score it against your day pillar, above all its top character, your day element. We compare the month's stem and branch with your helpful and caution elements. Then we name the life theme that leads, and show how the month meets your day pillar.

Where it sits in time
Daily rhythm is the smallest step: today's pillar. Monthly luck is a new pillar every calendar month. Yearly luck is the layer for each year, and decade luck is the longer background. Each layer uses the same helpful and caution lists: elements from your four pillars that tend to support you or add friction. Monthly luck scores themes for each month, without the points from the decade behind it that yearly luck adds.

Theme score
How clearly one life theme led that month. Higher means a clearer reading, not a better or worse month. Open it to see where the points came from.
Pillar ease
Supportive, demanding, steady, or push and pull: a separate check of the month's stem and branch elements against your helpful and caution lists. Push and pull is a month where the stem and the branch disagree. It is the second most common of the four answers, so you will see it often.
How we calculate the theme
- Work out the month's pillar, its stem and branch, for that year and month.
- Add points to life themes from the month's stem and branch, from its helpful and caution elements, and from how its branch meets your chart.
- The theme with the most points becomes that month's headline.
- Pillar ease (supportive, demanding, steady, or push and pull) is separate from which theme wins, as in yearly luck.
These are leanings to reflect on, not predictions of specific events.
