Life timeline
The timeline on My Chart shows past calendar years with saju theme labels, so you can compare the readings with what you remember. It is a way to check and reflect on your fixed chart, not a forecast.
How it differs from Universe yearly luck
The My Chart timeline focuses on recent past years, to check against your memory and leave feedback if you like. Universe yearly luck (Saewun) covers how each calendar year's pillar meets your chart. It adds the years close to now, coming three-year cycle years, the decade around them, other folk labels, and fuller scoring. Both use the same engine, for different jobs.
What each year row shows
Life areas
Under the headline, a row for each life area: a mark for the area, a mark for how that year leaned there, and a bar for how strongly. A row with a bar and no sentence is not missing anything. It means the engine found nothing notable in that area that year. A line written just to fill the space would be invented, not reported.
Resonance feedback
A heart or a broken heart on each life-area row: whether that reading matches your memory. It helps Oracle learn which wording fits you, not new facts. There is no separate answer for the whole year. A row answer and a year answer could disagree, with no rule for which one wins.
Valence chip
Supportive, steady, demanding, or push and pull: how easy the year's pillar felt against your helpful and caution elements, apart from which life theme led. Push and pull is a year whose stem and branch disagreed, roughly one year in five. On My Chart it is drawn as a mark rather than a word. The word is what a screen reader hears.
How we calculate
- Work out each calendar year's pillar, its stem and branch, against your day element.
- Collect theme signals from the year's stem and branch, from your helpful and caution lists, and from how the year's branch meets your chart.
- Name the leading theme and the headline for that year.
- Score pillar ease for the valence chip: supportive, steady, demanding, or push and pull.
A clash or a pairing is read by what it hits. Say a clash strikes one of your animals that carries an element your chart already has too much of. It removes as much as it unsettles, so it counts for nothing either way. A pairing that ties up one of your helpful elements counts for nothing too. Every other clash reads as friction, and every other pairing as ease. The lighter relations, the grinds and small frictions, always count the same way.
Love is read through the same stars for everyone. The classical reading of family differs by sex. In a man's chart the wealth star stands for a wife, and in a woman's the authority star stands for a husband. We read both as signs of a partner, whoever you are, together with your day pillar's animal, which stands for partnership. That follows neither table exactly and goes against neither, and it does not assume who your partner is. My Chart's report is the one place that reads the classical table itself. It shows the partner star for the gender you gave, and both readings if you skipped the question.
Past years are for reflection: we phrase them as prompts, not claims about exact events.
